Port Blair, Dec 11: Slapping tight on the face of BSNL’s A & N Circle nearly 92 villagers of Swadeshnagar, Betapur, Billyground & Nibudera areas have sent a letter to the Chief General Manager of BSNL’s A & N Circle, expressing gratitude for this ‘outstanding’ service to people of Middle Andaman.
Actually since last two moths the Broadband is totally down in these areas and in many parts of the mobile network is also down, giving nightmares to the remote Islanders.
“Whenever we ask the staffs of BSNL for the reasons behind such poor connectivity they always reply that some or the other parts are damaged and have been sent to Port Blair for repair,” said an angry villager of Billyground.
Meanwhile, in the said letter the villagers also requested the Administration to create a new award of “Brazenness” to be coffered to the Chief General Manger of BSNL, A & N Circle, the letter mentioned.
“The Broadband Module of Swadeshnagar Exchange is out of roder since more than one month and most of the Land Line Phones are out of order since years and on the other hand mobile services in this region is always bad,” the letter, which is signed by 92 villagers added.
A letter like this shows how much people of remote Islands are frustrated because of poor service of BSNL.
When Andaman Sheekha met the CGM of BSNL a few weeks back he clearly told us after cross checking with his staffs that everything is fine in Middle Andaman. Hope atleast now the CGM will understand the ground reality and will visit t he remote villages himself for inspection.
