Port Blair, Dec 10: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A & N Parliamentary Constituency visited various Ministries in New Delhi on various issues for the development of A & N Islands, during his visit at New Delhi on 5th and 6th December 2013.
During the visit, he interacted with the officials of Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Transport and Ministers of Road Transport and Highways and raised the various issues like Creation of 628 Posts of Motor Transport Department, A & N Admin; Up gradation of Pay Scale of Bus Conductor and CCI of Motor Transport Department, A & N Admn; For allowing past service benefit to the Mazdors of Elect. Deptt, A & N Admin. In compliance to the High Court order 09/04/2013 passed in WPCT No. 666 of 2012; Review of the norms of financial assistance/Compensation provided vide MHA’s letter dated 21/06/2013 on account of Disaster/damaged on natural calamity and Constitution of Ministry Advisory Committee for settlement various long pending development issues of A & N Islands.
