Port Blair, Nov. 29: The Ld Additional Sessions Judge Mr. Sovan Kumar Mukhopadhyay on Nov. 27 & 28, 2013 has found the accused Ramdhani Ramnath @ Gambeer guilty for the offence of rape and has sentenced the convict to suffer RI for 10 years and also imposed fine of Rs.4000/- in default to suffer RI for 4 months more for the offence under section 376 of the IPC.
The case arose out of a complaint made a Police Station Campbell Bay on 12.06.2010 upon which FIR no.37/10 was chalked out against Ramdhani Ramnath @ Gambeer for committing rape with the victim. The case for the prosecution was conducted by Shri Tulsi Lall as Additional Public Prosecutor, it is learnt.
