Port Blair, Nov 21: On 18/11/2013 at 2230 hrs on a tip off SI Sahil Shamusddin, SHO Nancowry along with Head Constables Santosh Kumar and Naushad Ali, Constables K C Das, Bandana Kumar and Prem Prakash Beck raided an abandoned building near Electricity site office, Kamorta and arrested 04 people who were found gambling with playing cards. An amount of Rs. 17,990/- along with a deck of playing cards was seized from the spot. The gamblers were identified as Ratan Mondal, S K Mondal, Jagganath Rao and Mohammed Rafiqu, all residents of Kamorta. All the accused were arrested on the spot and booked under section 5/7 of A&N Gambling Regulation 1956.
