Port Blair, Nov 18: The Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports, Andaman & Nicobar Administration organized Andaman Marathon 2013 to be held on Sunday the 24th November, 2013. The last date for registration was fixed upto 18-11-2013. This time also quite a few participants have registered from mainland India and international athletes especially from Kenya and Ethiopia are also likely to join. Mr. Rahul Bose, celebrity brand ambassador of the event will also be present and participate in the run. In view of the encouraging response, it has been decided to extend the last date of registration to Wednesday the 20th November, 2013. Meanwhile, Lt. Genl A. K. Singh, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has very kindly consented to flag off the mega event from the historic Cellular Jail at 5.15 AM on Sunday the 24th November, 2013, while Air Marshall P. K. Roy, AVSM, VM, VSM, Cincan, Andaman & Nicobar Command will be distributing the awards at the concluding point at the Netaji Stadium at 7.30 A.M.
