Port Blair, Nov 05: All the General Public of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is hereby informed that Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is conducting District level Household and Facility Survey round four in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with the help of International Institute for Population Science (IIPS) and Gfk Mode Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad from October 2013 to March 2014.
The overall objective of the survey is to assess the performance with regard to implementation of various programmes under NRHM at district level. The specific objectives are to estimate or assess antenatal care and Immunization coverage, Extent of safe delivery and coverage of JSY, Contraceptive prevalence and unmet need for family planning, Awareness about RTI, STI and HIV/AIS, Assessment of the quality of RCH services, contribution of public – private sectors to RCH services, Availability of RCH services, nearest to the selected villages, to know the level of hemoglobin (HB), fasting blood sugar, BP and anthropometric parameters through the clinical.
Anthropometric and Bio- Chemical (CAB) test and measurements, Availability of critical inputs in public health care establishments through facility.
In this regard all the general public are hereby requested to kindly cooperate with the investigators of Gfk Mode Pvt. Ltd. , Hyderabad so that they can collect the qualitative data which will be helpful for the ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Planning Commission and other agencies for the implementation of plan and policies in health sector in these Islands.
