Port Blair, Oct 21: A Commemoration Day Parade was held today at Parade Ground, Police Lines where the DGP and all members of the A&N Police paid homage to the Police martyrs.
In the past year, 579 Police personnel of various State Police Forces and Central Police Organizations have laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
The entire A&N Police led by Shri Sudhir Yadav, IPS, Director General of Police paid glowing tributes for the supreme sacrifices made by them. The Parade was witnessed by officers and men of the A&N Police and IRBn including retired Police Officers, a communication from Superintendent of Police (AP), Police Line said here.
