Port Blair, Oct 15: State President of BJP, A&N Islands Mr. Vishalji had expressed his deep anguish over non Coverage of recent cyclone by electronic Media. In a letter addressed to head of both the media organisations he had said that neither AIR nor DDK took effort to send its team to North and Middle Andaman to cover the devastation caused due to the Cyclone.
“Providing information through regular news could have given confidence to people. No coordination between local administration and government media was visible at this point,” Jolly said in a press release.
In his letter Jolly requested the media units participation in the rehabilitation and rebuilding process and active participation in case of any calamity effecting the people of these islands in future.
