Port Blair, Mar 09: R Mohan, the State President had advocated for the enhancement of honorarium to all PRI members. In his letter addressed to the Secretary, GoI, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, New Delhi and the Director of Panchayat, AN Administration Mohan had pleaded that with the existing amount of honorarium, a person can not run his family in these hard days properly and obviously, instead of giving full time for the betterment of their ward, they will find suitable job to earn money for the family or indulge themselves to earn money from other means and source. Hence it has become a necessity to consider suitable enhancement to encourage a free and fair society.
