Port Blair, Mar 09: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President INTUC has welcomed the decision of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board for enhancing the amount of the financial benefits extended to the beneficiaries covered under the scheme of the Government.
He has made an appeal to the Civil and Electrical contractors of the Islands who are employing workers in Building and other Construction works to enroll their employees and workers under the Scheme so that these less wages contractual workers can avails financial benefits and assistance in case of eventualities, medical treatment, maternity, pension, education & marriage assistance for children etc.
