Port Blair, Aug 26: An auto driver has been arrested by Andaman and Nicobar police on 21st Aug 2013 for allegedly molesting an eleven year old girl. According to reports available here the girl Hera (name changed) resident of A. Nagar, South Andaman, was waiting for her father at A Nagar Bus stand with breakfast box at 9.30 am, when the auto driver suddenly came to her and started requesting her to come inside the auto.
According to eye witnesses, when the girl refused to do so the Auto Driver, Nagesh, S/o Bulla Bhai, resident of A. Nagar, South Andaman started pulling the girl forcefully toward the Bus Stand and started abusing her.
When the girl raised the alarm, people gathered and rescued the girl but the auto driver managed to escape from the scene. However, after a police complaint, A & N Police traced out the man and arrested him on the same day. According to reports received here the man has already been sent to Judicial Custody.
Every day we read one or the other dirty news molestation, rape, abuse et al. when there will be an end on this. Girls’ has to be alert always. No safety in the morning hours also. It is really disgusting. Respect girl child!
