Port Blair, Aug 17: In a meeting called by Mahila Congress at Gandhi Bhavan yesterday, all Pradhans and Samity members were urged by the President Mahila Congress Mrs. Shanta Singh to go door to door and meet all the people of their respective areas and make them fully aware about the policies and planning of the UPA Government such as Right to Education, Right to Food, RTI, MNEREGA, NRHM, Bharat Nirman etc. and to ensure that these are being implemented at every corners.
Mrs. Pushpanjali Raju, Secretary urged all the members of Pradesh Congress Committee to be united and to fight against social evils and make the Islands free of all sorts of corruptions.
Mr. Raju urged the members to propagate the achievements of the Party at every corners of the Islands and to be ready to condemn any news items or voices which are false, baseless and are to defame the Party.
Mrs. Zubaida Begum, Secretary stated that when she was at Delhi on her recent visit, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Vice President, AICC stressed upon the need of discipline in the Party members and to have full faith on the Party leadership.
Mrs. Zubaida has also stated that we have dedicated ourselves to the people of these Islands and hence it is our utmost duty to serve the people of these Islands selflessly. Mrs. Neela Devi, Secretary and others speakers stated that every members of the Party should follow the selfless activities of the President, PCC Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma and leave no stone un-turned to strengthen the hands of Mr. Sharma who is master of vision and loves the downtrodden Islanders and the Islands from the core of his heart and has totally dedicated himself for it, a communication received from PCC said.
