Port Blair, Aug 7: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has taken up the case of change of Service conditions and pay structures of ” Part time Physical Education Teachers” of “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan” at par with Contract teachers of SSA with the Lt. Governor, A & N Islands vide letter No. 30/BPR/MP/ANI/LG/2013/ 616 Dated: 29.07.2013, the main contention of the letter is to increase the Part Time Physical Education Teachers consolidated pay @ Rs 7,000/- p.m to Rs. 18,000/- p m besides all consequential benefit and privilege like Part Time Physical Education Teachers to be extended to ” Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan” Physical Education Teachers on contract basis and remove the anomalies.
