Port Blair, July 30: Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi are one of the first departments in the country awarded ISO 9001: 2008 by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on 5th July,2013 for implementing the Quality Management System in the organization. This is as per the Result Framework Document (RFD) requirement by Performance Management Division, Cabinet Secretariat. Mr. S.K. Khanna, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards, presented the certificate to Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR on 16th July, 2013.
