Port Blair, July 23: The Chairman, State Cooperative Union Kuldeep Rai Sharma, attended the programmes at Nilambur Panchayat Hall, Baratang yesterday as Chief Guest and distributed certificates to 61 unemployed women who have successfully completed tailoring and fashion designing course and encouraged them to form Self help groups and cooperative societies and get easy loan from bank and start earning their livelihood and under no circumstance they should let their knowledge to go waste.
Sharma also inaugurated the training center of Computer fundamental course organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra which was sponsored by Voice of Compassion to India, a NGO.
In his inaugural speech Sharma told that acquiring the training in computer has become a necessity of the hour. Sharma also informed that in near future the Andaman and Nicobar Administration will tap the optic fibre cable connection, which goes from Chennai to Singapore in these Islands when many job opportunities will be made available to those who are trained in computer applications. The Coordinator, NYK, representatives of Voice of Compassion to India and Pradhan of Nilambur also spoke on the occasion.
