Port Blair, July 17: On 16th July 2013 a delegation of the State DMK led by Mr. A.R.Marudhavaanan met the Chief Secretary, Mr. Anand Prakash and Smti.Rina Ray, Principal Secretary and apprised them about the issue raised bthe party regarding Non finalization of BPL List and issue of free books to students from class 1Xth to X11th. Both of them reportedly gave patient hearing and assured the delegation that the administration would do all possible help to the concerned students.
They further stressed that the financial allocations and availability of books were being looked into and assured the delegation that by the next academic year the administration would be in a position to give free books to all students from class 1X to class X11.
