Port Blair, Jul 14: In a function organized by the Consumers Cooperative Society on 12th July, 2013, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, State Cooperative Union handed over a free gas connections with two cylinders along with other accessories and a stove granted by the Society to Mr. Bullet, a Great Andamanese tribe and his family presently residing at Adi Basera, Supply line, Port Blair.
Mr. Sharma in his brief speech expressed his utmost pleasure that the Great Andamanese tribe has started understanding the importance of farming, poultry and is entering into business to earn money for their family members and are also using modern amenities.
He further added that they have started giving proper attention to make their children educated.
At the outset, Mr. RV Reddy, Chairman, CCS welcomed the Great Andamanese family members and other dignitaries. Mr. Abdul Siddique, the Director and other officials of CCS were also present on the function.
