Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 06: A Samoohik Shraddh Tarpan and 11 Kundi Maha Yagya will be organised on October 10, 2026, at Khaitan Kalyan Mandap, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram, under the guidance of Shanti Kunj, Haridwar, as part of the Pram Vandniya Mataji & Akhand Jyoti Sthapdi Varsh 2026.
The programme is being organised by the Gayatri Pariwar of Andaman & Nicobar Islands with the objective of offering homage to departed ancestors during the period of Pitru Paksha and performing Shraddh rituals for their peace and salvation. The organisers stated that the programme is intended to promote peace, prosperity and positive energy in the Islands.
As per the programme schedule, Shraddh Tarpan Evam Yagya will be performed daily from September 26 to October 9, according to the date of death of the ancestors, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Gayatri Chetna Kendra, Delanipur, Sri Vijaya Puram.
A Kalash Yatra will be organised on October 9 from 2:30 p.m. from Gayatri Chetna Kendra, Delanipur, to Khaitan Kalyan Mandap, Junglighat.
The Samoohik Shraddh Tarpan will be conducted on October 10, coinciding with Pitru Moksha Amavasya, from 6 a.m. onwards, along with the 11 Kundi Yagya and cooked Prasad, at Khaitan Kalyan Mandap, Junglighat.
Devotees willing to perform Tarpan have been requested to contact the organiser’s office in advance for registration and further information so that the Shraddh rituals can be performed according to the date of death of the ancestors.
