Port Blair, Jul 3: The members of Auto Drivers Union today met Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma at Gandhi Bhavan and informed him about the parking problems faced by them.
The Auto drivers informed him that Bhatu Basti being a very thickly populated area they find it very diffcult to halt there for fetching passengers. They also informed him that the non-availability of a auto stands not only effects their earnings but also effects the passengers
who do not get autos when required.
Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC along with a delegation of Auto Driver union of Bhatu Basti met the Dy. Superintendent of Police, Traffic Mr. Naushad today and briefed him of the parking problems of the drivers at Bhatu Basti.
In absence of any parking facility the drivers have to park their autos here and there which irks the general public and as well as the flow of traffic is also disturbed, added Mr. Kuldeep.
Mr. Kuldeep also requested Mr. Naushad to ear mark some parking places for the auto drivers of Bhatu Basti. Dy. SP Traffic, Mr. Naushad has gave a patient hearing and assured to look into the matter at the earliest .
