Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 29: In connection with the observance of World Tourism Day on 27.09.2026 and under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign, the Police Marine Force (PMF), Andaman & Nicobar Police, conducted a special cleanliness drive Marine Police Operational Centres and marine assets.
The cleanliness drive was undertaken in compliance with the directions issued by A & N Administration with the objective of promoting cleanliness, hygiene and environmental responsibility in and around the operational establishments of the Police Marine Force.
During the drive, PMF personnel actively participated in cleaning and upkeep the Marine Police Operational Centres and allotted PMF assets. The surrounding areas of the office premises were also cleaned, with waste and unwanted materials being collected and disposed of properly. Special attention was given to maintaining the operational premises and boats in a clean and orderly condition.
The initiative also highlighted the importance of maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings in coastal and maritime areas, which contribute significantly to the tourism environment of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The participation of PMF personnel reflected their commitment towards cleanliness, environmental protection and responsible policing.
The Police Marine Force remains committed to supporting the objectives of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign and contributing towards a clean, safe and sustainable maritime environment in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
