Baratang, Sept. 27: Firefighters of Fire Station Baratang conducted a fire safety training session for employees and customers of the State Bank of India, Baratang Branch, on September 27, 2026.
The session focused on Fire Safety Management in banks, including firefighting with portable fire extinguishers using the PASS method and the safe evacuation process following the RACE method. A live demonstration of firefighting techniques during various emergency situations was also conducted.
A total of six staff members and nine customers were present during the training and gained practical experience in fire safety and emergency response procedures.
The existing fire safety arrangements at the bank were also reviewed during the visit. The deficiencies noticed were brought to the attention of the SBI Manager on the spot for necessary rectification, ensuring preparedness to deal with any emergency situation.
