Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 06: MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has appealed to the youth of the Islands to participate in large numbers in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, beginning with the Viksit Bharat Quiz, and make their voices, ideas and innovative solutions count towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 is a prestigious national initiative aimed at identifying, nurturing and providing a national platform to talented young Indians from diverse backgrounds to contribute their ideas towards nation-building and India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
The programme provides a unique opportunity for selected youth to progress through a structured, transparent and merit-based selection process, ultimately reaching the National Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue in New Delhi, where outstanding young leaders will get opportunities to present their ideas before policymakers, domain experts, Union Ministers and distinguished national leaders, including an opportunity for selected finalists to present their ideas before the Prime Minister.
Viksit Bharat Quiz – First Step Towards VBYLD 2027
The Viksit Bharat Quiz, the first stage of the flagship Viksit Bharat Challenge Track, is being conducted online through the MY Bharat Portal from 17th August to 30th September 2026.
The Quiz is open to young Indians in the 15–29 years age group and will be conducted digitally in multiple languages, enabling youth from across the country, including the remotest Islands of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, to participate.
The top-performing participants, subject to the prescribed selection criteria, will qualify for the next stage — the Viksit Bharat Essay Challenge, where shortlisted youth will submit a 500-word essay on designated themes related to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Journey from Quiz to National Dialogue
The Viksit Bharat Challenge will follow a comprehensive five-stage pathway:
Viksit Bharat Quiz → Essay Challenge → District Championships → State/UT-level VBYLD → National VBYLD
At the District level, selected participants will get an opportunity to present their ideas before a jury. Outstanding youth will subsequently represent their respective State/UT at the higher stages of the competition.
