Port Blair, June 27: The Member of Parliament of A & N Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray today said that he is ready to resign from the post of Islands’ Member of Parliament if anyone can prove that the allegations made by SPTEEA are true.
“I have never written any letter urging the Lt. Governor to discourage the pre-primary section from the education department. If they have proofs against me then why they are not filling PIL in this regard,” Mr Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament of A & N Islands told Andaman Sheekha today.
Meanwhile, the members of the State Part Time Education Employees Association (SPTEEA) staged a protest Dharna at Tiranga Park. Few members of SPTEEA from Campbell bay to Diglipur also joined the Dharna at Tiranga Park.
The members of SPTEEA today strongly reacted against the MP’s alleged letter to the Lt. Governor regarding discouraging the pre-primary section from the education department. This was the third consecutive Dharna of SPTEEA.
