Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 02: An Awareness Generation Programme on “Language Lab for Children with Special Needs (CwSN)” was organised by the Block Project Office (BPO), Diglipur, under Samagra Shiksha, on 02nd September 2026 at CRC GSSS Diglipur. The programme was organised for Pre-Primary Teachers, Parents/Family Members, SMC/SMDC Members, Anganwadi Workers, Caregivers/Helpers and other stakeholders to sensitize them about the effective utilization of the Language Lab for the holistic development of Children with Special Needs.
The programme commenced at 09:00 AM with a welcome address by Mrs. Rakhi Kabiraj, BRP (CwSN) and Programme Coordinator, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. C. Pushpavalli, BPO, who also delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Biswajit Das, Special Educator, delivered the keynote address and highlighted the importance of providing appropriate learning opportunities and support to Children with Special Needs.
The programme comprised informative sessions on the varied applications and benefits of the Language Lab. Mrs. Sukla Halder, PGT, GSSS Diglipur, conducted sessions on the Introduction and Importance of Language Lab and its role in enhancing Leadership Skills. Mr. Amit Kumar Mani, BRP (Hindi) spoke on enhancing Language Skills, while Mrs. Narender Kaur, BRP (Maths) addressed its role in enhancing Mathematics Skills. Mrs. Kunjolata Halder, BRP (Elementary) highlighted Recreation Skills, and Mrs. Rakhi Kabiraj, BRP (CwSN) conducted a session on Digital Literacy Skills.
The concluding technical session was conducted by Mr. Biswajit Das, Special Educator, who elaborated on the role of the Language Lab in promoting and supporting Mental Health among Children with Special Needs.
The sessions enabled the participants to gain awareness regarding the effective use of the Language Lab and its potential to support the educational, digital, recreational, leadership, language and overall developmental needs of CwSN. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Rakhi Kabiraj, BRP (CwSN).
