
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 31: On 30.08.2026, acting swiftly on credible information regarding the illegal transportation and sale of wildlife meat, a team of PS Diglipur intercepted three persons near Subashgram.
During checking, police recovered approximately 28 kg of suspected venison from their possession and seized the same. The Forest Department was promptly informed, and the three persons, along with the seized suspected venison, were subsequently handed over to the Forest Department for initiation of legal action under the relevant provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
The timely action by N&MA Police reflects its continued vigilance and commitment to curbing illegal activities through effective law enforcement and inter-departmental coordination.
