Billyground, Aug. 25: APWD Assistant Engineer of Swadeshnagar Sub-Division III, Er. Abdul Mubeen, along with Junior Engineers Er. C. Vijayalaxmi and Er. Reddy Govind, conducted a joint site inspection of the medical quarters and local infrastructure at Billyground following a request from Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar.
The inspection was carried out in the presence of Pradhan Mr. Manojit Halder and Mr. Keshavan, Medical Officer of PHC Billyground. The team inspected the doctor and staff quarters at PHC Billyground to assess the immediate repair and maintenance requirements.
During the visit, the Pradhan requested the Assistant Engineer to expedite the preparation of cost estimates for the required structural renovation works. Er. Abdul Mubeen assured that the department would prepare and submit the technical estimates at the earliest.
The team also discussed the availability of land earmarked for the construction of Type-IV quarters to accommodate four doctors at PHC Billyground. The Assistant Engineer took note of the requirement and assured that efforts would be made to address the administrative and construction-related requirements for the proposed quarters.
The Pradhan further highlighted the severely dilapidated condition of the road connecting PHC Billyground with GSS Pinakinagar (EM). He pointed out that the potholes along the stretch posed a safety risk, particularly to school students using the road.
Responding to the concern, Er. Abdul Mubeen assured that the department would initiate road patchwork at the earliest to address the potholes and improve safety for commuters and students.
