
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 21: Ms Purva Garg (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, chaired a meeting of the newly constituted District Technical Unit (DTU) under her chairmanship to review the Jal Seva Aankalan (JSA) under South Andaman District. During the meeting, it was informed that Jal Seva Aankalan was conducted for 67 villages, out of 89 villages by submitting the village level Jal Aankalan forms via the e- Gram Swaraj portal and verification of the same is the mandate of DTU.
The DC enquired about the Jal Seva Aankalan for water supply in Mamyo and Loha Barrack villages under Chouldhari Panchayat, which were jointly visited by the Hon’ble MP on 13/08/26. The EE / PHED (Member Secretary), DTU had informed that the estimate is under consideration of Administration for obtaining sanction on top priority
The DC further directed the DTU team members and Tehsildars of South Andaman District, to verify the balance villages which have not yet been started and complete the DTU process for verification of the 67 JSA villages immediately.
