Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 12: The Haj Committee of India, Mumbai invites online application forms from the eligible and suitable person for selection of one State Haj Inspector (SHI) for Haj-2027 from Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Permanent employees of the Central/State Governments, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)/Paramilitary Force, autonomous bodies or PSUs under the Central and State Government can apply as SHI and whose age does not exceed 50 years.
Senior Officer like Group “A”/Class I posts in the Central Government (i.e. posts with Entry Pay Level-10 and above under the 7th Central Pay Commission) or equivalent posts in the State Government, shall not be eligible. The Haj Committee of India, Mumbai will bear the 50% of the expenditure on SHI including fixed allowance shall be borne by the HCoI and the rest 50% shall be borne by the A&N Islands UT Haj Committee subject to the receipt of fund from the UT Administration failing which the selected candidate should be ready to bear it from his own funds.
Expenditure for attending the Training Programme at Mumbai and to & fro journey from Sri Vijaya Puram to Chennai (Embarkation point) and back has to borne by the selected candidate. The A&N Islands UT Haj Committee will select a suitable candidate in case more than one applications are received by due date. The candidates desirous of being selected as SHI are required to submit their applications online from 13.08.2026 onwards. The last date for submission of the online application is 27.08.2026. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT), Interview/Personality Test, and Medical Examination.
