
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 12: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sri Vijaya Puram, successfully conducted the Second Round of its Drawing Competition and Essay Writing Competition at VKV School, Lambaline, as part of its series of programmes organised in the spirit of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.
The second round witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic response from students, with approximately 260 students participating in the competitions. Students from various schools and colleges across Sri Vijaya Puram took part and showcased their creativity, talent, writing skills and patriotic spirit.
The Drawing Competition provided young participants with an opportunity to express their ideas and emotions through art, with students presenting creative and meaningful representations reflecting the themes of patriotism, the nation and the spirit of Independence.
The Essay Writing Competition was conducted in both Hindi and English, allowing students to express their thoughts and perspectives on topics related to the nation, patriotism, youth, education and the values associated with India’s Independence. The enthusiastic participation reflected the students’ interest in engaging with subjects of national importance.
The successful completion of the second-round marks another significant milestone in the series of student-centric programmes being organised by ABVP Sri Vijaya Puram as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations. The initiative aims to provide students with a platform to develop and showcase their creativity, intellectual abilities and sense of national pride.
The Final Prize Distribution Ceremony will be held on 14 August 2026 at TGC Auditorium, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram. The winners and deserving participants will be felicitated with prizes and certificates during the ceremony.
ABVP Sri Vijaya Puram expressed its sincere gratitude to the participating schools, colleges, teachers, students, volunteers and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. Such initiatives are aimed at connecting students with the spirit of the nation’s Independence and encouraging them to become responsible and active citizens of India.
