Port Blair, Aug 11: Today, Mr. Manojit Halder , Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Harinagar, met Dr. Apurva Sharma , DANICS, Director, Directorate of Rural Development, PRIs & ULBs, A&N Administration, to discuss various issues concerning Gram Panchayat Harinagar and to seek Expenditure Sanction and Administrative Approval for two civil works.
During the meeting, the Director assured the Pradhan that he would make efforts to complete the process of according Administrative Approval at an earliest.
Further, the Pradhan apprised the Director that the present Executive Engineer is due to superannuate this month. He requested that the post of Executive Engineer may not be kept vacant after the superannuation and that another Executive Engineer may be posted at the earliest. He also requested that until the posting of a regular Executive Engineer, suitable alternative arrangements may be made to ensure the timely processing and completion of ongoing and proposed civil works of the Gram Panchayat.
The Pradhan expressed his gratitude to the Director for giving due consideration to the issues raised and for assuring necessary action.
