
Billyground, Aug. 10: A grand Tiranga Rally was organised today by Gram Panchayat Harinagar as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga programme, bringing together hundreds of residents, students, teachers, and government officials in a vibrant celebration of patriotism and national unity.
The rally was led by Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, in the presence of Mr. Sankar Mondal, Zilla Parishad Member of Harinagar Constituency, and Mr. Dilip Kumar Das, PSM. The mega event was organised in active collaboration with several line departments, including Education, Health, Police, Fire Brigade, Agriculture, APWD, Fisheries, and the Forest Department.
The patriotic procession commenced from the premises of Government Middle School (GMS), Billyground. Holding the National Tricolour with pride, participants marched through the village to Panchayat Bhawan, Harinagar, before returning to GMS Billyground, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic slogans and community spirit.
A special tribute ceremony was held at Panchayat Bhawan, where prominent national icons were honoured. The statue of Rabindranath Tagore was garlanded by the Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Swadesh Nagar. The statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was garlanded by the former Headmistress of GMS Billyground (Primary), while the statue of Swami Vivekananda was honoured by the Medical Officer of Public Health Centre (PHC), Billyground.
The second phase of the programme was held in the auditorium of GMS Billyground. Welcoming the gathering, Pradhan Manojit Halder highlighted the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and called upon citizens, particularly the younger generation, to uphold the values of unity, patriotism, and national pride. He said the Tricolour symbolises the collective strength and aspirations of the nation and urged everyone to continue contributing towards a stronger and more united India.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, local residents, and officials from various government departments. Representatives from APWD, the Forest Department, Health, Police, Fire Services, Fisheries, and Agriculture actively joined the celebrations, making the event a true community initiative.
The successful programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by the Principal of GSSS Swadesh Nagar, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participating departments, security personnel, teachers, students, and volunteers for their wholehearted cooperation in making the Har Ghar Tiranga Tiranga Rally a memorable and inspiring success.
