Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 09: Ahead of Independence Day celebrations, a grand Tiranga Yatra was organized by Gram Panchayat Shivapuram in coordination with PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Panchawati, at 9:30 AM on 7 August 2026.
The Tiranga Yatra witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 550 students, villagers and PRI representatives of Gram Panchayat Shivapuram, creating a vibrant atmosphere of patriotism, unity and national pride. The programme was led by Mr. Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram.
The event was graced by Mr. Deepanshu Vohra (DANICS), Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Block Development Officer, Rangat, and Mr. R. Madhavan, Zilla Parishad Member, Nimbutala. Panchayat Secretary Mr. K. Ravi Kumar was also present.
The programme began with an NCC squad welcoming the Chief Guest with a smart march-past, followed by a welcome ceremony where the Vice Principal In-charge of JNV Panchawati presented bouquets to the dignitaries.
The major attraction of the event was the 75-foot-long National Flag, which led the procession. The participating students also proudly carried Tricolour flags in their hands, creating a spectacular display of patriotism and national unity.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Deepanshu Vohra (DANICS), Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, encouraged students to uphold the values of patriotism, national unity and responsibility towards the nation. He urged them to participate in national activities with pride and to respect the Tiranga as a symbol of India’s unity, sovereignty and national identity.
Following the address, the Chief Guest formally flagged off the Tiranga Yatra. The procession moved from the JNV Panchawati campus towards Panchawati Agriculture Farm and later returned to the school campus.
During the Yatra, patriotic songs filled the surroundings while students enthusiastically raised slogans expressing their love and respect for the nation and the National Flag. The sight of hundreds of students marching together with the 75-foot Tricolour created an inspiring and memorable atmosphere.
The procession also received an enthusiastic response from the local community, with villagers coming out of their homes to witness the colourful and patriotic march.
The Tiranga Yatra brought together students, villagers, PRI representatives, Panchayat officials and government officers in a collective celebration of patriotism, unity and national pride.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to honour the National Flag and uphold the values of unity, integrity, patriotism and love for the nation.
