
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 2:As part of the nationwide ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’, the A&N Administration, in collaboration with MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, organised the main district-level programme at the auditorium of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Sri Vijaya Puram, today.
The programme underscored the Administration’s commitment to building a drug-free society by creating awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to actively contribute towards a Nasha Mukt Bharat. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Ms. Chanchal Yadav, IAS, administered the Anti-Drug Pledge to a large gathering of students and youth, reaffirming the collective resolve to eradicate drug abuse and promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
Senior officers of the A&N Administration, faculty members, students from various colleges in and around Sri Vijaya Puram, MY Bharat volunteers and members of the public attended the programme. As part of the national campaign, participants also witnessed the live address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation across South Andaman District, with around 1,000 MY Bharat volunteers and youth joining the initiative, reflecting the Administration’s sustained efforts to mobilize young people against drug abuse and strengthen the message of a drug-free and developed India.
