Sri Vijaya Puram, 31 July:The A&N Administration in collaboration with MY Bharat, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GoI, will organise the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ on 2nd August, 2026 at 10 am in the Auditorium of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT). The programme is being organised as part of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to strengthen the national movement towards a Drug-Free India and inspire youth to contribute to the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’.
The highlight of the programme will be the virtual address by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, who will interact with youth from across the country. The nationwide campaign is expected to connect nearly 10,000 locations and engage more than one crore youth through both physical and virtual participation. In South Andaman District, around 1,000 MY Bharat volunteers and youth are expected to participate in this significant national campaign.
As part of this campaign, a 100-week nationwide Sunday movement will be launched to promote sports, fitness, yoga, meditation, cultural activities, awareness programmes, and community engagement. The District Administration, South Andaman and MY Bharat, Sri Vijaya Puram appeals to all educational institutions, youth organisations, civil society organisations, parents, and citizens, especially the youth, to actively participate in this important campaign and take the e-Pledge through the MY Bharat Portal.
