Sri Vijaya Puram, July 29:The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was launched in the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 23rd September, 2018. The scheme continues to strengthen access to quality healthcare by providing cashless health insurance coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalization at empanelled Government and private hospitals across the country.
In the A&N Islands, all Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Ration Card holder families are eligible to avail the benefits of AB-PMJAY. All eligible PHH and AAY beneficiaries who have not yet generated their Ayushman Card are requested to complete the card generation process on or before 15th August, 2026 to ensure uninterrupted access to cashless treatment benefits whenever required.
Eligible beneficiaries can generate their Ayushman Card through Ayushman App, available on the Google Play Store, nearest Common Service Centre (CSC), nearest Health Centre or AB-PMJAY Help Desk, G.B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram.
