Sri Vijaya Puram, July 23: As part of the nationwide observance of Anti-Dengue Month during July, a dengue awareness programme was organized today at GMSSS in coordination with the UT Health Mission and the Directorate of Health Services. The programme was conducted under the theme ‘Community Participation for Dengue Control: Check, Clean and Cover.’ Shri R. K. Singh, PGT, GMSSS, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. B. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Malaria) and Joint Secretary (NVBDCP), delivered an informative session on dengue and chikungunya. He urged the public to regularly inspect their homes and surroundings for mosquito breeding sites, especially water storage containers and other vessels that may contain larvae.
Earlier, Shri K. Vara Prasad, Malaria Inspector, welcomed the gathering while Smt. Rekha Tiwari, GTT (Science), GMSSS proposed the vote of thanks.
