Sri Vijaya Puram July 22: As part of the ongoing celebrations of the 77th Van Mahotsava, 2026, the Middle Andaman Forest Division is organizing a Mini Marathon under the theme “Plant Trees Save Earth” on 25th July 2026 at 0500 hrs. The event is open to the general public, children, and senior citizens, with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging community participation in Forest Conservation.
The Mini Marathon will be flagged off from the Forest Check Post, Rangat, and will conclude near the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Hawamahal, via Parnashala Forest Nursery.
The Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman Forest Division, Mr. Vikas Yadav, IFS, has appealed to all residents, nature lovers, students, and members of the public to enthusiastically participate in the event and contribute towards making the programme a grand success. The Middle Andaman Division warmly invites everyone to join this initiative and reaffirm their commitment to environmental conservation under the inspiring theme, “Plant Trees Save Earth.”
