Sri Vijaya Purm, July 19: Off-Site Emergency Response Drill on Fire Incident conducted in the Hope Town Jetty near Manifold on July 17 by Bottling Plant, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Hope Town, Bambooflat in coordination with Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Police, NDRF, CISF, A&N Fire & Emergency Services and Directorate of Health Services by creating real time fire simulation scenarios and tested the preparedness level and response system of IOCL Team and other stakeholders.
Immediately on the receipt of information of Fire Incident, the Bottling Plant, IOCL triggered their response mechanism to tackle the emergency fire situation at Hope Town Jetty near manifold and informed the same to ERSS, SEOC, Fire & Health Control Rooms etc. Meanwhile the staff and Team of IOCL have been activated to manage the dowsing the fire. The Fire Service reached the incident spot with fire tender along with teams to control the fire situation.
The Mock Drill was called off at 4 pm followed by a debriefing session wherein the observers of the Mock Drill had explained the findings and gaps of the Mock Drill.
