Sri Vijaya Puram, July 05: The Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration is implementing a UT Plan scheme namely ‘Subsidy for Construction / purchase of new Motorized / Mechanized Fishing Boats’.
In this regard, applications are invited from the Bonafide fisherman/Tribes residing in the Municipal and Tribal fishing areas of A&N Islands for Construction / purchase of new Motorized / Mechanized Fishing Boats” under the UT Plan scheme of the Department during the year 2026-27.

| 50% subsidy of the unit cost for General Fisher / Unemployed Youth / Local Entrepreneur / Fisheries Cooperative Societies and 75% subsidy of the unit cost for Schedule Tribe / Tribal Cooperative Society of A&N Islands. |
| Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant should be a Bonafide fisher / Schedule Tribe / Local unemployed youth / Interested Entrepreneurs / Fisher Coop. Societies / Federation / Tribe Coop. Societies of A & N Islands. |
The Application form and the detailed guidelines of the UT Plan subsidy programme can be obtained from the Directorate of Fisheries / Zonal Fisheries Offices, nearest Fisheries Sub Stations and also available in the Official website of A&N Administration (http://www.andamannicobar.gov.in/). The applications completed in all respect should reach the nearest Fisheries Zonal Office / Sub Stations on or before 15th July 2026.
