Sri Vijaya Puram, June 24:Passengers and the general public have been informed that the vessel MV Nalanda is presently undergoing repairs, annual surveys, and certification formalities. The statutory certificates are awaited from the Statutory Authority. Consequently, this Directorate is forced to cancel the previously announced sailing schedule of Vessel Nalanda from Sri Vijaya Puram to Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 30th June 2026.
However, in order to facilitate the travel of affected passengers & teachers posted at Southern Group of Islands, this Directorate has arranged the sailing of MV Campbell Bay in place of Vessel Nalanda. The vessel will now sail from Haddo Wharf to Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 29th June, 2026 at 2100 Hrs and its return voyage from Campbell Bay on 1st July, 2026 at 1000 hrs via Nancowry to Sri Vijaya Puram.
Passengers holding confirmed tickets for the cancelled voyage of Vessel Nalanda from Sri Vijaya Puram to Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 30th June 2026, and for the return voyage from Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 2nd July 2026, are advised to cancel their existing tickets and obtain fresh tickets for MV Campbell Bay against such cancellation (applicable for both offline and online bookings).
Fresh tickets for the sailing of MV Campbell Bay will be issued from 25th June 2026 from 0900 Hrs onwards exclusively to the passengers holding valid tickets of Vessel Nalanda. Passengers may obtain fresh tickets for onward journey at STARS Ticketing Counters, Phoenix Bay. Similarly for the return journey at STARS Ticketing Counters, Campbell Bay/Nancowry.
