
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 24: The District Administration, South Andaman in its continuous efforts to preserve community spaces and to ensure lawful use of public property has been keeping strict vigil and monitoring and government land is being restored back from encroachment by unscrupulous elements in past few days in South Andaman District.
Pursuant to the ongoing drive, eviction operations were carried out today at Neil Kendra village, Shaheed Dweep. During the operation, encroachments in the form of unauthorized plantations raised on Government Revenue land were identified and removed. An area measuring approximately 1000 square meters of Government Revenue land has been reclaimed and restored to Government Khata.
The Administration has reiterated its zero-tolerance approach towards encroachments and emphasized that any unauthorized occupation of Government land will attract stringent legal action under the relevant provisions of law. Residents are strongly urged to refrain from unauthorized occupations, as stringent legal action will be taken against violators.
