
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 22: Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya, Sri Vijaya Puram, observed the International Day of Yoga 2026 in a befitting manner on its campus. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 80 students, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and non-teaching staff members.
The event was organized in collaboration with officials from the Department of AYUSH and the Public Works Department (PWD), who actively supported the conduct of the programme. Participants performed various yoga asanas and breathing exercises under expert guidance, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. R. G. S. Baghel, who emphasized the significance of incorporating yoga into daily life for achieving holistic health and harmony. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. K. V. Ramana Murthy, Associate Professor who expressed gratitude to all participants and collaborating departments for making the programme a success.
The observance reflected JNRM’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and the spirit of collective participation among students and staff.
