Sri Vijaya Puram, June 2: As part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative and in compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the Foundation Day of the States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Sikkim, Goa, and Telangana were celebrated with enthusiasm at Lok Niwas on 2nd June, 2026.
The programme witnessed the participation of residents hailing from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana. On the occasion, a short documentary highlighting the rich cultural heritage, history, achievements, and traditions of the respective States was screened. The celebration concluded with a high tea and group photograph.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Lok Niwas for organizing the event and providing a valuable platform for cultural exchange, interaction and the strengthening of national integration in the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
