Sri Vijaya Puram, May 21:The Directorate of Education is organizing a Summer Book Fest-2026 in two phases from 26.05.2026 to 30.05.2026 and 09.06.2026 to 12.06.2026 at the State Library between 10 AM and 1 PM.
The festival is specially designed for children between the ages of 06 and 18 years (Class I to XII) and aims to promote reading habits, encourage imagination and enhance literary and creative skills among young learners of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The event will feature a variety of interactive and enjoyable activities such as Storytelling, Drawing, Book Treasure Hunt, Book Dumb Charades, Spell Bee Contest, Memory Shelf Challenge, Quiz and Rhyme Competition offering participants an engaging and enriching learning experience.
This initiative of the Directorate is expected to provide a vibrant platform for children to explore their creativity, improve communication skills and actively participate in fun-filled educational activities.

General Instructions
- For group competitions, students should participate in groups only.
- Names for all competitions should reach the State Library by 25-05-2026.
- Students should come with valid ID cards.
- All competitions will start at 10.30 AM.
- Students must report at the State Library by 10 AM.
- Participants should bring their own pens, colours and other required items
- Drawing sheets will be provided by State Library.
