Sri Vijaya Puram May 18: CRC A&N Islands and Inner Wheel club, Sri Vijaya Puram jointly organized a heartwarming Mother’s Day Celebration programme at its premises with enthusiastic participation from mothers, children, staff members, and guests. The event was specially dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary journey of mothers of special children, whose unwavering strength, compassion, sacrifices, and endless support play a vital role in nurturing and empowering their children every day.
The objective of the programme was to honour and appreciate the unconditional love, resilience, patience, and selfless dedication of mothers of Children with Special Needs and Persons with Disabilities, while promoting emotional bonding, inclusion, empowerment, and community participation among families.
The programme was graced by Mrs. Sumithamol, Director, CRC A&N Islands, Mrs. Pallavi Gupta, President, Inner Wheel Club, Mrs. Shehanas Jedwad, Former President, Inner Wheel Club, Mrs. Komal Anand, Ex-President of Inner Wheel Club and President of Pankh NGO, and Mrs. Shajitha Zuber, Member, UMEED Committee for Guidance and Psychological Support.
During the programme, the dignitaries acknowledged the remarkable role of mothers of special children as pillars of courage and inspiration. They appreciated their tireless efforts, emotional strength, and unconditional care in overcoming challenges and creating a nurturing environment for their children to grow with confidence and dignity.
Various cultural activities, fun games, a joyful ramp walk, and a creative bag painting session were organized for the mothers and children, making the celebration vibrant, engaging, and memorable. The participants actively took part in all activities with great enthusiasm, happiness, and emotional connection, creating moments of joy and togetherness.The programme emphasized the importance of recognizing and supporting mothers who continuously dedicate themselves to the care, development, and empowerment of their children.
The programme concluded with prize distribution for the winners and a heartfelt vote of thanks expressing sincere gratitude to all guests, participants, organizers, staff members, and supporters for making the celebration a grand success and for honouring the invaluable contribution of mothers of special children to society.
