
Sri Vijaya Puram, May 12: A grand national-level cultural conclave titled “Janjati Sanskritik Samagam 2026” will be organized on May 24, 2026 at the Red Fort Grounds, New Delhi, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary year of the great tribal freedom fighter and national hero, Birsa Munda.
Addressing the media, the organizers stated that the conclave is being envisioned as a historic national event, with participation of nearly 1.5 lakh people from more than 500 tribal communities across the country. Participants are expected to travel to Delhi at their own expense to take part in the cultural gathering.
A major highlight of the event will be a grand cultural procession featuring tribal men and women from different parts of India dressed in their traditional attire, showcasing the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and diversity of tribal communities. The procession will commence from five different locations in Delhi and culminate at the Red Fort, where a massive public gathering will be organized.
The organizers informed that Amit Shah has accepted the invitation to attend the public meeting at the Red Fort as the Chief Guest.
The central theme of the conclave will be (You and I are one blood): Forest dwellers, Village dwellers and City dwellers, We are all Indians.”
The objectives of the conclave include remembering the legacy of Birsa Munda, celebrating the cultural traditions of tribal communities, promoting cultural exchange and dialogue, and strengthening social harmony and national unity.
The organizers further stated that extensive preparations are underway in Delhi to welcome participants arriving from different states. Twenty departments and several committees have been formed for arrangements related to accommodation, food, transportation, medical services, security, and cleanliness.
