Sri Vijaya Puram, May 11: In a significant move to upgrade educational infrastructure and foster holistic development, Shri Aditya Sangotra, Director (Education), inaugurated a new renovated block comprising an Activity Room (Primary Section), a Home Science Lab, Library (Reading Section) and Sports Room at the Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Aberdeen.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Education Department, school faculty. The new facilities are part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to provide modern, hands-on learning environments for students across the islands.
While addressing the gathering the Director of Education emphasized that modernizing school infrastructure is essential to align with National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. The upgraded infrastructure would add to the long demand of school for better teaching learning process.
Earlier, Smti Sangeeta Chand, Principal, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School welcomed the gathering and said GMSSS remains one of the premier institutions in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, consistently recognized for its academic achievement. The addition of this New Block marks a milestone in the school’s development.
