On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all residents of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
This year’s observance of Buddha Purnima provides a meaningful occasion to reflect on the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha, whose timeless message of compassion, wisdom, and non-violence continues to inspire humanity. This auspicious occasion, marking his birth, enlightenment and Mahaparinirvana, serves as a reminder of the enduring relevance of his ideals in fostering a just, peaceful, and harmonious society.
The teachings of Lord Buddha inspire us to cultivate inner peace, practice tolerance, and uphold the values of empathy and selflessness. His path encourages us to rise above divisions and work collectively for the welfare of all, fostering unity and mutual respect among communities.
As we celebrate this holy occasion, may we renew our commitment to these timeless principles and strive to incorporate them into our daily lives. Let this year’s celebrations further strengthen the bonds of harmony and brotherhood across our Islands.
May the divine message of Lord Buddha illuminate our path and inspire us to build a society that is peaceful, inclusive, and progressive.
