
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 24: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) successfully conducted an Integrated Health Camp at Chatham Saw Mill, Sri Vijayapuram. The camp was organized for the benefit of the Mill worker and officials of Chatham Saw Mill.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director, ANACS. The programme focused on promoting health awareness and providing essential medical screening services to the participants. Approximately 50 participants benefited from this initiative.
During the camp, participants were screened for multiple health conditions including HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Blood Pressure (BP), Blood Sugar levels and Syphilis. Approximately 35 participants volunteer for testing. The campaign aimed at early detection, prevention, and awareness.
Dr. Jahanara Yasmeen, DD (MS & IEC), conducted awareness sessions highlighting the importance of regular health check-ups, safe practices, and timely treatment. Participants were also encouraged to adopt preventive measures in their daily lives.
The initiative was well-received by the attendees, who appreciated the efforts of ANACS in bringing essential healthcare services directly to their workplace.
ANACS will continue organizing outreach integrated health camps to benefit employees across other departments.
