Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 22: Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, has drawn the attention of the A&N Administration towards the non-functioning of Water ATMs installed at various public places across the Islands.
In a communication addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, he stated that several Water ATMs located at bus stops, parks, and other public areas are currently not operational, causing inconvenience to commuters, pedestrians, and visitors. He pointed out that in many places, the machines are either completely out of service or not dispensing water properly.
Highlighting the seriousness of the issue, especially during the ongoing summer season, Mr. Lall emphasized that access to clean drinking water is essential for the public and the present situation is creating hardship.
He urged the Administration to take immediate steps to repair and restore the functioning of these Water ATMs. He also suggested that regular inspection and timely maintenance be ensured to prevent recurrence of such issues in future.
Mr. Lall expressed hope for prompt action from the authorities in the interest of public convenience.
